Rahmatganj MFS upset Brothers Union 4-0; Idris Kasirye makes hattrick

Dhaka, Apr 25 (UNB) - A brilliant hattrick by Ugandan Idris Kasirye enabled Rahmatganj MFS to taste their 2nd victory in the Grameenphone Bangladesh Premier League upsetting giant killer Brothers Union Club by 4-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here today (Wednesday) This was Idris Kasirye’s first hattrick, the 4th in the ongoing league, after Sunday Chizoba of Muktijoddha SKC, Eleta Kingsley of Arambagh KS and Lucky Paul Otofe of Abahani Limited.By virtue of the day’s well merited victory, bottom-ranked Rahmatganj MFS advanced to the 9th slot in the league table securing nine points from 10 matches while Brothers Union remained at 6th place with their previous credit of 11 points from all 10 first phase matches.In the day’s match, Rahmatganj MFS took lead in the 31st minute as their Ugandan forward Idris Kasirye headed home off a curving free kick of Sirfin Rahman Rony from left flank (1-0). In the 41st minute, Brothers Union was deprived of a goal when an attempt by their Nigerian medio Olalekan Joshua was nicely cleared by Rahmatganj’s Nigerian defender Michael Dumba.Idris doubled the Rahmatganj margin in the 54th minute from a penalty (2-0). Rahmatganj got the spot kick when Brothers Union defender Nurul Amin Shipon pulled down Rahmatganj’s Nigerian forward Nche Francis in the middle of the D-box.Idris Kasirye completed his first hattrick, the 4th of the league, in the 69th minute by a good header beating Brothers union goalie Uttam Barua, capitalizing on a cross of Sirfin Rahman Rony (3-0).Sirfin Rahman Rony sealed the fate of the match scoring the 4th goal in the 89th minute as he cleverly chipped the ball over onrushing Brothers goalie Uttam Barua (4-0)
