Sleeping war heroes to be brought back from India: Tajul

Dhaka, July 4 (UNB) - The government will bring back the remaining 3,500 freedom fighters, the greatest sons of the soil, sleeping in the land of neighboring India.State Minister for Liberation War Affairs AB Tajul Islam said this in Parliament while responding to a call-attention notice of HN Ashequr Rahman (Rangpur-5).Tajul Islam said the government has already formed a committee to identify the graveyards of the freedom fighters who made the supreme sacrifice to liberate the country from the Pakistani occupation forces. And the committee has already visited the areas along the Bangladesh-India border.Regarding the identification of the martyred freedom fighters, he said the government will go for DNA test once the mortal remains of the war heroes are brought back, and then same thing will be done for their parents and children.The minister also informed the House that the government has started communicating with the Indian government in this regard.
