SKOJ wants job nationalization

Dhaka, Aug 9 (UNB) - Shikkhak Karmachari Oikya Jote (SKOJ) at a meeting on Thursday threatened to launch tougher movement unless its four-point demand including nationalization of job of teacher and employees is met within this year.SKOJ’s others demands include- bringing all the recognized educational institutions under Monthly Pay Order (MPO) facility, allowing private tuition till nationalization of jobs of teachers and employees, and fixing 65 years for retirement age of non-government school teachers.The meeting jointly organized by Bangladesh Shikkhak Samity and Bangladesh College Shikkhak Samity was held at AK School and College in the city. SKOJ chairman M Selim Bhuiyan presided over the meeting.At the meeting, it was decided that the teachers will boycott the S.S.C and H.S.C exams duty and launch a movement for an indefinite period if their demands are not met by 10th January 2013.Apart from this, SKOJ will hold meetings at district and divisional headquarters demanding nationalization of job of teachers and employees not enlisted under MPO.
