BSF kills Bangladeshi national along Satkhira border

Satkhira, Aug 12 (UNB) – Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a Bangladeshi cattle trader along Boikari border in Sadar upazila on Sunday.The victim was identified as Ataur Rahman Sarder, 30, son of Abdul Mozid Sarder of village Babulia in the upazila.BGB sources said BSF men from Gobdah in Uttar 24 Pargona of India fired shots on Ataur in Boikari frontier area around 9:30am while he was returning home after buying cattle from India.Contacted, Satkhira sadar thana OC Aslam Khan said BGB members sent a letter to the BSF seeing the body of Ataur lying on Indian side. Later, BSF handed over the body to BGB members at about 6pm.Local UP member Prince and victim’s brother identified the body.
