News - Jhenidah Jubo League leader succumbs at DMCH

Jhenidah, Dec 26 (UNB) - A local Jubo League leader, critically inured in an attack on Friday night, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam, 45, vice-president of Kumrabari union unit of Jubo League in Sadar upazila. He hailed from Madappur village in the upazila.

Witnesses said Shariful was called by some people out of a tea stall at Nagarbatan bazar on Friday night.

He was, later, hacked indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.

He was first rushed to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital. Later, doctors referred him to the DMCH.
