News - BSF kidnap Bangladeshi farmer in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, Dec 27 (UNB) - Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have abducted a Bangladeshi farmer from Hudapara border village in Damurhuda upazila.

Locals said a group of BSF troops of Gongra outpost illegally intruded in Hudapara village and abducted Babul Akter, 30, when he was working in the field at about 5-30pm on Saturday. He was taken away at gunpoint. Soon the matter was informed to BDR.

Confirming the abduction, BDR local commander Lt Col Sultan Ahmed said a flag meeting with BSF was held at the company commander level today seeking immediate return of Babul Akter. But the meeting ended without any result.

Meanwhile, BDR held an Indian national, identified as Mukti Ghose, for trespassing into Bangladesh territory. Ghose, 25, hails from Gongra village across the border.
