2 killed in Gazipur road accident

Gazipur, Dec 29 (UNB) - The driver and helper of a truck were crushed under the wheels of another truck at MC Bazaar in Sripur upazila on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as driver Liton, 20 and helper Ashik, 17, of Jamalpur district.

Police said the driver of the capital-bound truck was loading fuel into his vehicle from a petrol pump on a road side at about 4am when another speedy truck hit two men from behind, leaving them dead on the spot.

The driver of the killer truck fled away along with his vehicle following the accident.

A case was filed in this connection.
