Youth killed, 2 injured by miscreants in Gazipur

Gazipur, Jan 9 (UNB) - A youth was killed and another two were injured by miscreants at Rajbari ground in the district town on Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Shohag, 25, a student of Bhawal Badre Alam Government College and son of Abul Hashem Sufi of Munshipara area of the town.

Police said Shohag was gossiping with his friends Bihan and his wife Ankhi, Rashedul and Nahid. But some youths of the area teased Ankhi.

At this, Bihan locked into altercation with them and at one stage he slapped one of the youths.

Later, the youths equipped with lethal weapons attacked and stabbed them indiscriminately leaving Sohag dead on the spot.

Badly injured Rashedul and Nahid were rushed to Dhaka in critical condition.
