Gazipur, Jan 11 (UNB) - Members of elite force RAB arrested an alleged terrorist with bullet injuries at Sataish in Sadar upazila early Monday.

A team of RAB-1 in plain clothes conducted a drive in the area at about 1am in order to prevent mugging.

At one stage, a group of snatchers swooped on the RAB team and tried to take away their belongings.

The RAB members in self-defence fired shots on the thugs, leaving mugger Alamgir, 28, injured.

The other miscreants managed to flee.

A one shooter-gun and four sharp weapons were recovered from the possession of Alamgir.
