Bogra, Jan 20 (UNB) - A college student, who was stabbed and injured by some muggers at Badurtala of the district town on Wednesday, died at a hospital early Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Mehedi Hasan Moslem, 25, a 3rd year student of Bogra Government Azizul Haq College and son of Harunur Rashid of Bishwa Harigachha village in Dhunat upazila.

Police said snatchers stabbed Mehedi indiscriminately on way to his hostel at about 8pm on Tuesday, leaving him critically injured.

Later, a passerby rescued Mehedi and admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he died at 6am today.

A case was filed in this connection.
