6 held in Satkhira border for illegal border crossing

Satkhira, Jan 28 (UNB) - BDR jawans held six people from Bhomra border in Sadar upazila while illegally going to India through the border this (Thursday) morning.

The arrested were identified as Protap Hawlader, 35, and Nityanda Halder, 24, of Dakop upazila of Khulna, and Fatema Bibi, 50, and her son Abul Kashem, 25, of Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore, and Khalilur Rahman, 16, and Aminur Rahman, 25, of Sadar upazila of Jessore.

On interrogation, the arrested, who were going to India without passport, said that they were going there in search of works.

BDR filed a case with local thana in this connection.
