News - HC issues show cause on ousted Proshika chairman

Dhaka, Feb 17 (UNB)-The High Court on Wednesday issued a show cause notice asking ousted Proshika chairman and two others to explain why legal action should not be drawn against them for misinterpreting the court’s previous orders about the organization.

A single bench of the High Court Justice Shamim Hasnain passed the order following a petition filed by Mahbubul Karim, current Chief Executive of Proshika, a leading NGO.

Founder of Proshika Qazi Faruque Ahmed and two directors Nargis Jahan and Quazi Khaje Alam have been asked to comply with the court order within two weeks.
