News - BD Honorary Consul General to Germany meets PM
Dhaka, Feb 17 (UNB)-Honorary Consul-General of Bangladesh to Germany Arndt Husges paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Jamuna on Wednesday evening.

The Prime Minister asked the Consul-General to give more effort for further strengthening bilateral friendly relations between Bangladesh and Germany.

Arndt informed the Prime Minister that he visited the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and became very shocked to know about the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most members of his family on August 15, 1975.

Arndt handed over a cheque for Tk 10 lakh to the Prime Minister as donation for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust.

Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister MA Karim, Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, Private Secretary to the Prime Minister Nazrul Islam Khan and Special Assistant Abdus Sobhan Golap were present.
