Student shot to death in Jamalpur

Jamalpur, Mar 6 (UNB) - Muggers shot a student to death at Islampur Upazila Parishad complex compound and took away his motorbike on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Shah Shikhaia Rose, 25, a final year Computer Engineering student of Bogra Polytechnic Institute and son of Abdus Salam of Mouza Zalla village of the upazila.

Police said unknown miscreants shot Rose to death in front of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s residence in the complex at 10:30pm while he was returning home by his bike after repairing UNO’s computer.

Later, the miscreants fled the scene along with Rose’s motorbike.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

A case was filed.
