Dhaka, Mar 7 (UNB) - A parliamentary body suggested for building bhaban and structures by properly following the government approved earthquake prevention design.

The parliamentary standing committee on the Planning made the suggestion at its meeting at Sangsad Bhaban with its committee chairman Oli Ahmed in the chair Sunday.

It called for making master plan for strengthening the TCB for checking price hike and recommended for making coordinated efforts by different ministries, divisions and agencies for achieving the targets of MDGs.

It also called for completing the project works within its scheduled time.

The meeting suggested for undertaking proper planning relating to any project and stressed the need on strengthening the monitoring of ministry for implementation of projects as per approved planning.

Committee member and Planning Minister Abdul Karim Khandaker, Hamida Banu Shova and ANM Shamsul Islam took part in the meeting.
