Top-level BDR-BSF conference begins in New Delhi

News - Top-level BDR-BSF conference begins in New Delhi
New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNB): A top-level meeting between Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) began at the BSF headquarters here today with long lists of issues on the table from both the sides.

BDR director general Maj Genl Md Mainul Islam led a 19-member delegation while his BSF counterpart Raman Shrivastav led the home team to the 3-day talks.

The meeting discussed various issues including cross border crimes and Joint Border Management Plan.

When contacted, Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi Enamul Haq Chowdhury told UNB that all issues related to the border were discussed with posetive approch from the both sides. The discussion was held in a cordial atmosphere.

He said many formal and informal meetings will take place in next few days.

After meeting in New Delhi, the Bangladesh delegation will visit Kolkata on March 11 to hold a meeting with BSF Eastern command.
