Bandarban, Mar 10 (UNB) - A five-day hill tracts folk culture fair with a slogan ‘culture is eternal, culture is a bridge’ will kick off at Rajar ground here on March 23.

Cultural and sports events will also be held in the fair.

The fair is expected to play a significant role in exchanging views, developing friendship and understanding between the people of Bandarban and Khagrachhari and that of other parts of the country.

Bandarban hill tracts council with the support of UNDP will organize the fair for further deepening the existing communal harmony between Bangalees and non-Bangalees.

Bandarban hill tracts council sources said local tourism industry will also flourish through the festival.
