Firefighters battle blaze in London

LONDON, Mar 11 (AP/UNB) - More than 100 firefighters are tackling a fire in a restaurant and office complex near London's financial district.

The London Fire Brigade says crews were called to Tabernacle Street in central London early Thursday morning.


Television broadcasts showed thick white smoke drifting over the city.
