15 houses gutted in a fire in Narayanganj

Narayanganj, Mar 11 (UNB) - About 13 shanties and two jhut godowns were gutted in a devastating fire at Isdair Chanmari in Fatulla thana today (Thursday).

Ten people were also injured while extinguishing the fire.

Police said the fire originated from the oven of a kitchen at a house and soon engulfed the adjoining shanties and jhut godowns at noon.

On information, four local fire fighting units rushed in and extinguished the flame after half an hour of hectic efforts.
