Chittagong, Mar 11 (UNB) - Bangladesh national cricket team coach Jamie Siddons said his boys would maintain their consistent performance in the Test against visiting England that begins tomorrow (Friday) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city.

Addressing a pre-match press conference at the match venue today (Thursday), he said although the boys lost the three-match ODI series against England, but their improvement was notable during the series.

The Bangladesh head coach said: “We showed good performance in ODI series and will try to maintain it in Test as well.”

Asked to comment about the team’s spinners, he said Abdur Razzak, who is currently playing international match, performed better and already proved his worth in the ODI while Enamul Haque Jr. was absent from international cricket for a long time.

Keeping this in view, more importance will be given to Razzak in the final squad.

He also said that in the final squad, the team management would likely prefer to include in-form batsman Mahmudullah Riad than Naeem Islam as he hit a ton against New Zealand in the ODI series.

Speaking for England team, batsman Ian Bell said that to play the Test in local condition, his team already gained necessary experience from the three-day warm-up match and this will be implemented in Test.

Right hander Bell, who also hopes to clinch the Test series like ODI, said Bangladesh has some spinners who have the ability to turn the match at any time, but “we’ve an extra plan about them.”

Bangladesh (probable) - Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Aftab Ahmed, Mahmudullah Riad, Shakib Al Hasan (capt), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Rubel Hossain and Shadahat Hossain.

England (probable) - Alastair Cook (capt), Michael Carberry, Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell, Matt Prior (wk), Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann and James Tredwell.
