Kalabagan CA beat Young Pegasus by 73 runs; Bappi Das makes century

Dhaka, Mar 11 (UNB) - A fine century by Bappy Das guided Kalabagan Cricket Academy to earn a comfortable 73-run victory over Young Pegasus A team in the Metropolis 2nd Division Cricket League at the Dhaka University ground today (Thursday).

Winning the toss, Kalabagan CA batted first to score 238 runs for 6 in 50 overs with one down Bappi Das hammering 106 runs off 139 balls, featuring nine fours and five sixes.

In reply, Young Pegasus A team were all out for 165 runs in 41.5 overs with Mahbubuzzaman scoring 48 runs. Shariful Islam grabbed five wickets for 31 runs.

In the day’s other match, Kalindi KC beat Udayachal Club by four wickets at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.

Sent into bat first, Udayachal Club were all out for 155 runs in 37 overs.

In reply, Kalindi KC reached their target making match-winner 156 runs for the loss of six wickets in 49.4 overs.
