Natore, Mar 11 (UNB) - Failing to restrain the teenage daughter from going on joyous bouts with a spoiled boy, the angry father strangulated her to death at Khaspara village of Boraigram upazila
on Thursday.

Lata Parveen, 14, student of class VII, was preparing to go to Bonpara High School in the morning when her father Nabiruddin forbidden her of going anywhere from the school. But she paid no heed to his advice.

That angered the father. Furious, he caught her by the neck and strangulated. Soon he realized that he has killed his daughter.

Nabiruddin left home and went into hiding, neighbours said.

His wife was away from home at that time. Soon she returned and found her daughter lying dead on the floor of the house.

Lamenting, she said her husband killed the disobedient Lata as he failed to restrain her from meeting with the young spoiled boy she has fallen in love.

Boraigram thana officer Anwar Hossain said Lata Parveen had recently eloped with a notorious boy of the village. She was traced out after a week and returned to her parents.
