Dacoits loot two filling stations in Manikganj

Manikganj, Mar 15 (UNB) - Robbers in separate raids looted Tk 8 lakh from two filling stations in Sadar and Shibalaya upazilas early Sunday.

Police said 8/10 robbers coming in a microbus went to Dhaleshwari filling station in Sadar upazila to buy octane in guise of buyers at about 3am.

The robbers while leaving the station without paying money for octane the employees obstructed them.

Later, at one stage, the muggers took them hostage at gunpoint and looted Tk 3 lakh from the cash box.

In another incident, 10/12 bandits in guise of buyers in a microbus went to M/s Rumy Filing Station at Mahadevpur in Shibalaya upazila at about 3:30 am.

Later, they made the employees hostage at gunpoint and took away Tk 5 lakh from the cash box.

Separate cases were filed with the police.
