Dhaka, Mar 16 (UNB) - With a view to ensuring emergency healthcare for the secretariat employees, a new ambulance has been provided to the Bangladesh Secretariat Clinic.

Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque today (Tuesday) handed over the keys to the ambulance to the civil surgeon stationed at the clinic. He said the ambulance has been provided to ensure that emergency healthcare is now available for the secretariat officers and employees.

“In particular, it will have to be ensured that this ambulance will be used for carrying the referred patients from here,” he said.

Earlier, the Health Minister visited the different units at the clinic including pathology, dental and eye units, the emergency unit and the dispensary. It’s notable that the present government has distributed hundreds of ambulances to the various upazila health complexes and medical centers.

Among other, health secretary Sheikh Altaf Ali was present on the occasion.
