Sheikh Russell KC crushes Arambagh KS 6-1

Dhaka, Apr 9 (UNB) - New soccer powerhouse Sheikh Russell KC crushed Arambagh KS by 6-1 goals in a match of the Citycell Bangladesh League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Friday.

With the day’s result, Sheikh Russell KC secured 36 points move to the 3rd slot in the league table while Arambagh KS remained at 6th position with 15 points, both playing 15 matches.

In the day’s match, Ronny and foreign recruit Salah Maflu scored two goals each while another foreign player Jaman Nakhle and Parvez netted one goal apiece for the winners. Kabir scored the consolation goal for the losers.

In another match, Farashganj SC beat Sylhet Beanibazar SC by 2-1 goals at the Sylhet Stadium today.

With the day’s outcome, Farashganj SC secured nine points from 15 matches while Sylhet Beanibazar SC remained at 12 points from 14 outings.

In the day’s match, Touhidul Alam Sabuj and foreign recruit Kalu Johnson scored one goal each in the 76th and 89th minutes respectively while Sohel Rana pulled one back for Sylhet Beanibazar SC in the injury time (2-1).
