Abahani retains all-win run, beats Muktijoddha 5-0

Dhaka, Apr 11 (UNB) - Holders Abahani Limited maintained their all-win run in the Citycell Bangladesh League crushing Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 5-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here on Sunday.

In the day’s match, Ghanaian striker Awudu Ibrahim, Mehedi Hasan Uzzal, Enamul Haque, Abul Hossain and Sheriff Deen Mohammed scored one goal each for the winners in the 19th, 22nd, 70th, 82nd minutes and in injury time respectively.

In the day’s other match, Chittagong Abahani played to a 1-1 draw with Brothers Union Club at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.

Chittagong Abahani took lead from a suicidal goal by Brothers Union’s Yousuf in the 35th minute of the play (1-0).

Foreign striker Enock Bentil, however, scored the equalizer for Brothers Union in the 39th minute (1-1).

Tuesday’s match: Mohammedan SC vs Arambagh KS (BNS, at 5 pm).
