Ansar book semis berth beating Abahani by 77 runs
Dhaka, Apr 17 (UNB) - Ansar & VDP booked a semifinal berth of the Women’s Club Cup Cricket Tournament beating Abahani Limited by 77 runs at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium here on Saturday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Ansar & VDP scored 161 for all in stipulated 40 overs.
Rashman Akter contributed 48 runs off 83 balls with six fours while Shahnaz Parvin scored 19 runs off 32 balls with two fours.
Supriya Rani Das claimed four wickets for 31 runs while Subarna Islam took two wickets for two runs.
In reply, Abahani Limited scored 84 runs for 7 wickets in stipulated 40 overs.
Middle order Montaha Khatun scored 35 runs off 95 balls with two fours while Subarna Islam made 15 off 82 balls with a four.
Panna Ghosh grabbed two wickets for 17 runs.
