Thimpu (Bhutan) Apr 28 (UNB) - Bhutanese Prime Minister Lyonchhen Jigmi Yoezer Thinley on Wednesday assumed the chairmanship of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) from Sri Lanka.

He was elected the chair at the opening session of the 16th summit that began at 2:30 pm at the Grand Assembly Hall.
