Zulfiqur Rahman appointed as Bangladesh Ambassador to Turkey

Dhaka, June 8 (UNB)-Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been appointed as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Turkey.

A career diplomat Rahman joined the Foreign Service in 1991. During his diplomatic career he has served in Bangladesh Missions in New Delhi, New York (Permanent Mission), Manama and Los Angeles.

Rahman has represented Bangladesh at various international forums, including at the UN General Assembly.

Currently, Rahman is serving as Director General (UN and Multilateral Economic Affairs) at the Foreign Ministry.

He obtained MBBS degree in 1985 from Rajshahi Medical College and post-graduate Diploma in International Relations from the International Institute of Public Administration of Paris in 1993
