7 Indian intruders sent back to India

Chapainawabganj, July 4 (UNB) - Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) handed over seven Indian citizens to the Indian authorities through Sonamasjid check post on Saturday after the expiry of their jail terms.

They were identified as Jasim, 22, Mahidul, 21, Khalilur Rahman, 47, Gobinda Mondol, 22, Sudhir Mondol, 37, Babu Prokash, 33, and Kalpana Mondol - hailed from Murshidabad district of India.

Police and BDR in separate drives arrested them on charges of trespassing into the country illegally and for involving in smuggling and other crimes.

Later, the court sentenced them to different jail terms and on completion of the prison terms they, as per official arrangement, were sent back to India at noon.
