News - Nizami on fresh remand for 5 days in Pallabi thana case
Dhaka, July 17 (UNB) - Jamaat chief Maulana Motiur Rahman Nizami was today given to five-day police remand when he was produced in the CMM court in Pallabi thana case that accused him and other leaders of the party of genocide during the war of liberation.

CID investigation officer in the case Sheikh Nurul Islam Siddiqi pleaded for 10-day remand but metropolitan magistrate Moazzem Hossain granted five-day remand.

Arrested on June 29 Nizami is accused in six cases and the court granted police to keep him in remand for a total 21 days for interrogation.
