Tree plantation programme of Defence Ministry launched

Dhaka, July 18 (UNB) - Defence Secretary Khandaker M Asaduzzaman inaugurated tree plantation programme of Ministry of Defence by planting a Rose-Apple sapling on
the ministry premises on Sunday.

All departments and organizations under Ministry of Defence like previous years chalked out an elaborate programme of tree plantation this year.

This year’s programme included planting of saplings of herbal, fruit bearing, shade giving and other varieties of trees having timber value.

Joint Secretary (W&D) Brigadier General Towfiqul Anam, Joint Secretary (General) Khaleda Parvin and others were present on the occasion.
