Tree and agriculture technology fair begins in Jhalakati

Jhalakati, Jul 25 (UNB) - A three-day tree and agriculture technology fair began at Shishu Park in the town on Saturday.

Awami League leader Alhaj Amir Hossain Amu MP formally inaugurated the fair as chief guest.

Twenty stalls have been set up at the venue of the fair to display different agricultural technology and machines. The stalls are also displaying various kinds of fruit bearing and timber trees.

A discussion was also held on Saturday which was presided over by deputy director of Agricultural Extension Department Asraf Ali Khan.

Later, 350 plants of coconut trees were distributed for planting at various mosque and madrassah premises.
