An Indian national among 5 held in Satkhira for illegal border crossing

Satkhira, Aug 3 (UNB) - BDR held five people, including an Indian national, on charge of illegally going to India through Bhomra border in Sadar upazila on Monday evening.

The arrested were identified as Palash Chakrabarti, 30, his wife Pushpa Rani, 22 of Bangdah village of same upazila, Bappi Hawlader, 20 of Dhumghat village of Shyamnagar upazila, Giasuddin, 38, of Bhomra Chorai Ghat, and Indian national Buchi Howlader, 35, wife of Deb Kumar of Ghozadanga village in North Chabbish Pargana of West Bengal.

A patrol team of BDR held them while they were illegally going to India through the border on Monday evening.

Separate cases were filed with thana.
