News - Sedition case filed against BNP leader Moudud, Jamaat leader Dr Taher in Khulna
Khulna, Aug 8 (UNB) - A sedition cases was filed with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court here Sunday against BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Jamaat leader Dr Abdullah Mohammad Taher.

Additional Public Prosecutor SM Sazzad Ali filed the case in the court of M Barekuzzaman at about 11:30 am.

Taking the case into cognizance, the court directed the officer in-charge (O/C) of Sadar thana to take legal action against the accused.

The sedition case was filed alleging that the security of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her family members, state, government and people might be endangered due to the provocative speech given by Dr Taher at a discussion at National Press Club on August 4 in presence of Barrister Moudud.
