Dhaka, Aug 15 (UNB) - Muktijoddha Sangsad KC will form a big-budget team this season to get back their lost pride in the fourth version of the Bangladesh League that will begin on December 20 this year.

When the other big teams are busy recruiting star booters, Muktijoddha Sangsad also started to rope in some big names for their team to become champions in the prestigious league.

In the last few years, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC has been passing through hardship in the domestic meets after some big guns quit the club for lack of financial security.

The club’s financial condition reached its worst in the last season. The booters, undergoing training, had to run the camp spending money from their own pockets.

But, this season the situation has turned around and the club expects to do well in the upcoming domestic competitions.

Muktijoddha Sangsad KC team manager Abdus Sattar said they want to be champions in the league this season. “We are taking it as a challenge.”

He added: “We failed to form a good team due to financial constraints in the last two seasons. But this time the club officials are determined to cobble together a good team.”

Sattar said they already roped in Arman Aziz, Saikat, Nasir, Munna Jr., Rana and Sharif from traditional Mohammedan SC, and Biplob, Motiur Munna, Obaidur and Zahed Parvez from Abahani Limited, the hattrick champions in the league.

Besides, Mukitijoddha SKC also confirmed the services of Ronny, Maruf and Zahirul from Sheikh Russell KC, Nehal from Rahmatganj MFS and Mustaq from Arambagh KS.

Sattar informed that experienced coach Maruful Haque has been given the charge of the team.
