50 schools in Khulna to get connected with Internet tomorrow

Dhaka, Aug 18 (UNB) - Some 50 schools and technical institutions of Khulna will be provided with internet connections tomorrow (Thursday) in a bid to assist the teaching system.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will inaugurate the project of internet connection at the Zia Hall.

The internet connection is being provided under a project titled ‘Teachers Online in Khulna’ with financial and technical assistance of the Bremen University, Germany.

Bremen University Professor Dr Bibhuti Roy is in charge of the coordination of the project.

Earlier, a month long training was held to train 88 teachers of 44 schools of Khulna on ‘using internet and multimedia in teaching’. The project area will be widened in phases.
