
Dhaka, Aug 22 (UNB) - Hoping to make use of India’s experience in medical waste management, Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque on Sunday flew to India on a four-day visit to study the hospital waste management techniques and processes employed in the neighbouring country.
Receiving an invitation from the UNIDO, he will be visiting different units of the Environmentally Sound Management of Medical waste project, which is being run by the MS Ramaeyah Group of Hospitals.
It is expected that the Health Minister’s visit will have a significant bearing on managing medical waste in the country.
Director General of Health Directorate Prof Shah Monir Hossain and medical wastes expert Syed Abu Zafar Musa are accompanying Ruhal Haque on the trip.
