2,000 tablets seized in Benapole border

Benapole, Aug 22 (UNB) - Two thousand tablets worth over Tk nine lakh were recovered from South Putkhali border on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BDR jawans raided the area and recovered 1000 pieces of sex stimulating tablets and 1,000 pieces of other tablets for fattening human body.

None was arrested as the smugglers sensing the presence of the border guards managed to flee the scene in the afternoon.

The recovered goods were later handed over to Benapole Customs House.

A case was filed in this connection.
