Dhaka, Aug 23 (UNB) - The German Federal Home Ministry has donated five police vehicles, which are equipped to meet Bangladesh requirements and support the police officers’ mobility.
The German Ambassador Holger Michael will hand over the vehicle keys to DMP tomorrow (Tuesday), said a release of the German Embassy.
Earlier, in 2009, a Bangladesh parliamentary delegation visited the German Federal Home Ministry and agreed to work closely in fighting international terrorism.
German support to the infrastructure of Bangladesh police was also discussed during the visit. A training programme will also be held in collaboration with the Bangladesh Ministry of Home Affairs in December this year.
The Federal Republic of Germany hoped that this contribution will assist the Bangladesh police in carrying out their responsibilities, the release added.
