Cattle trader beaten to death by BSF in Benapole

Benapole, Aug 25 (UNB) - A cattle trader was beaten to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Putkhali frontier here early Wednesday.

The identity of the victim could not be known immediately.

BDR sources said while the cattle trader was returning home along with cows from India at about 3am BSF troops caught and beat him mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, sources said they threw the body into the nearby river Ichhamoti.

BDR said the body was floating on the Indian side of the river.
