Bagerhat, Aug 26 (UNB) - Traffic movement between here and several other districts remained suspended for one hour and a half due to wildcat strike called by workers of district Motor Sramik Union on Wednesday.

The workers enforced an indefinite strike at 11am that halted vehicular movement between here and Khulna, Pirojpur, Jhalakati, Barisal, Bhola, Patuakhai and Barguna.

Transport leaders said they enforced the strike protesting plying of three-wheelers Nasimon and Karimon and torture on bus workers by the workers of the three-wheelers.

The workers postponed their programme at 12:3pm as Police Super assured them of taking steps for stopping plying of Nasimon and Karimon illegally in the district.
