Robbers loot garments factory killing its one security guard and injuring four others in Gazipur

Gazipur, Aug 28 (UNB) - Robbers stormed into a garments factory at Kashimpur in Sadar upazila and looted valuables worth Tk one crore killing its one security guard and injuring four others early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Hamidul, 45.

Police said 10/12 bandits entered the compound of the factory “Purple Fabrics” from the back side and took the security guards hostage at gunpoint late at night.

At one stage when the guards tried to resist them the bandits strangulated Hamidul to death and beat up four others leaving them seriously injured.

Later, the muggers looted computers and other valuable machines worth Tk one crore of the factory and fled away.

The body of Hamidul was sent to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed.
