PRISTINA, Aug 28 (AP/UNB) - Police in Kosovo say assailants have thrown a hand grenade at a police station and set fire to a car outside it.
Police spokesman Besim Hoti says the explosion early Saturday damaged two police cars parked outside the station in northern Kosovo, but no one was injured.
He says the torched car belonged to a Serb policeman, the only one in the station at the time of the attack in the Serb-controlled town of Zubin Potok.
Hoti said European Union police were called in for support. It was the second such attack there since April. Serb members of the ethnic Albanian-dominated force are in charge of the outpost.
Minority Serbs reject Pristina's rule in Kosovo and are supported by Belgrade in claiming the territory is part of Serbia.
