Vendor killed in train accident in city

Dhaka, Aug 29 (UNB)-A banana vendor was killed as Dinajpur-bound train "Ekota Express" from Kamalapur knocked him at Malibagh level crossing Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as Chand Miah, 70, of Karimganj in Kishorgonj district.

Witnesses said the accident occurred as the vendor carrying a basket with banana on his head was trying to cross the crossing at about 11:30 am. He died on the spot.

GRP thana police from Kamalapur station visited the spot and recovered the body.
