2 killed in separate road accidents in Gazipur

Gazipur, Aug 29 (UNB) - Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Sripur and Sadar upazilas on Sunday and Saturday night.

Police said Jahid Hasan, 28, was killed as a bus knocked down him while he was crossing a road on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Chandina crossing in Sadar upazila at noon Sunday.

In another incident, Rustom Ali, 52, died on the spot when hit by a motorcycle from behind at Marta in Sripur upazila on Saturday night.

Later, local people caught the two motorcyclists and handed them over to police.
