Girl killed in Thakurgaon road accident

Thakurgaon, Aug 31 (UNB) - A teenage girl was killed in a road accident near Aouliapur Board Office of Sadar upazila on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mayna Rani, 16, daughter of Jagadish Chandra of Shasla Piala village of the upazila.

Police said when Mayna was coming to her sister’s house at Aouliapur with her brother-in-law Ashes Chandra in a motorbike, a car hit the motorbike on Thakurgaon-Panchagarh road, leaving the two badly injured.

Local people rushed to the spot and admitted them to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where Mayna succumbed to her injuries at night.

A case was filed with sadar thana in this connection.
