News - Govt to withdraw import duty on raw sugar from next Sept 15
Dhaka, Sept 1 (UNB) - The government has decided to withdraw the import duty on raw sugar from September 15 in order to keep the price of sugar stable in local markets.

Sugar exporters had to pay Tk 2000 per ton of raw sugar as import duty, before the National Board of Revenue (NBR) decided to withdraw the import duty on raw sugar, a press release issued from the
Commerce Ministry said.
