Barguna, Sept 3(UNB) - A mobile phone trader was stabbed to death allegedly by a thief at Mollarhat village in Betagi upazila on Wednesday night.

Locals said Salam of the same village stole a mobile phone set from the mobile phone shop of Khalilur Rahman, 30, some days back. Later, the village elders in arbitration forced him to return the mobile phone to Khalil.

When Salam’s wife came to know the matter she reprimanded him for his misdeeds at night that angered him very much. Later, angry Salam went to the shop of Khalil and stabbed him mercilessly leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed. The killer went into hiding.
