Market monitoring teams penalize 3 traders in city

Dhaka, Sept 3 (UNB) - In a series of drives in the city on Friday, the market monitoring teams penalized three traders and realized Tk 17,000 as penalty on charge of selling goods in excess of the prices fixed by the government. Market monitoring teams of the Commerce Ministry and National Consumers Rights Protection Directorate (NCRPD) conducted the drives.

Deputy Commerce Secretaries Pranab Kumar Ghosh and M Mokabbir Hossain led the drives conducted at city’s Kaptan Bazar and Motijheel AGB Colony Bazar.

The monitoring teams fined M/S Delwar Store, M/S Poyal Bhandhar and Bismillah Store for violating government directives.
